Shaykhah Memuna (Bint Edris)
Shaykhah Bint Edris is a teacher of the Islamic sciences. Since 1997, she has been teaching Islamic studies and the Aalimah program in Mississauga & Brampton. Shaykhah Bint Edris holds an M.A. in Islamic Theology, with honours. She is looked upon as a role model by numerous girls of the community.
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, her thirst for the Islamic sciences led her to be enrolled at one of the renowned pioneer Islamic girls seminary; Jameatus-Swalehat in Malegaon, Maharashtra, India. Her areas of study were: Arabic language, Tajweed, Fiqh, Tafseer, Hadeeth, Seerah and Usool.
Ar present, Shaykhah Bint Edris resides in Mississauga with her husband and children.
